I was at home in bed when my wife Molly told me my old work mate was trying to call me. I go outside and call him while I walk to an old bar I used to go to. On the phone he can hear me, but I cant hear him. Instead he texts his responses to me. While at the bar there is a large projector screen like a drive in theatre. I have the remote and I turn on a movie similar to saw. Graphic visualizations of people dying are shown on the screen. The crowd next to me doesn't like this. One man says "I guess some people can't afford to do this at home." I walk up to him and give him the remote and I was upset. I begin walking back home. For some reason i was walking through the neighborhood I grew up in. As Im nearing my old home a strong gust of wind nearly knocks.me.over. in order to keep moving forward I have to crawl on my hands and knees. Carefully dodging dog poop. As I get to the side yard of my childhood home Im confused because it should be night time, but it appears to be broad daylight. I look up into the sky with sunglasses on and see a huge full moon glowing red with a red aura. Frightened I try to make it back inside, but my childhood home has been replaced with an RV. As I walk into the trailer I hear commotion of violence. I look into the distance and see a mob of people shooting guns and people screaming. I panic because when I enter the trailer my wife and kids are not there. I go to the closet in the RV and grab two rifles and begin loading them. Then I wake up.
Dreams can be complex and deeply personal, and their meanings can vary significantly depending on your emotions, experiences, and the specific details of your life. Here's a potential interpretation of the various elements in your dream:
Home and Comfort: Your dream begins in your own home, a place often associated with safety and comfort. However, the chaos that unfolds could symbolize feelings of insecurity or instability in your personal life or relationships. Your wife, Molly, representing a connection or support system, could indicate a desire for communication or understanding in your waking life.
Old Work Mate and Phone Communication: The attempt to connect with your old workmate suggests themes of nostalgia, unresolved issues, or a longing for the past. The inability to hear him and his responses coming via text might indicate feelings of miscommunication or a disconnect with people you once felt close to.
The Bar and the Film: The bar represents a social space, but the graphic movie suggests discomfort with either your past experiences or current social dynamics. The crowd's rejection of the horror film could symbolize societal expectations or pressures to conform, highlighting feelings of isolation or fear of judgment for expressing your true self.
Crawling Through the Neighborhood: Walking on your hands and knees represents struggles and the challenges you’re facing, possibly in your personal life or mental health. The dog poop you dodge could symbolize the messy aspects of life that you’re trying to navigate while moving forward.
The Full Moon and Daylight Confusion: The surreal element of a red-tinted full moon during daylight may reflect feelings of confusion or emotional turmoil. The moon often symbolizes intuition and emotions, and a red hue might point toward strong feelings such as anger, fear, or anxiety.
The RV and Violence: The transformation of your childhood home into an RV might indicate feelings of impermanence or a lack of stability, especially regarding your childhood or family connections. The violent commotion and the absence of your wife and kids could represent fears of losing your family or feelings of being unprepared for challenges ahead, leading to panic and anxiety about your protective instincts.
Arming Yourself: Grabbing rifles signifies a need for control or preparation for conflict. This could symbolize an internal struggle and a sense of inadequacy in dealing with perceived threats, whether they be external challenges in life or internal fears.
Overall, your dream could reflect underlying anxieties about communication, family dynamics, and the confrontation of unresolved feelings from your past. It might be beneficial to reflect on current challenges in your life and consider reaching out for support or exploring these feelings further, perhaps through conversation or creative outlets.
